Farm Energy Audit Project

A Farm Energy Audit is an essential management tool in developing a comprehensive energy plan for your farm. It provides an operational benchmark as well as strategies for future energy improvements. It helps prioritize implementation decisions based on energy efficiency, payback period, capital outlay or complexity.

It can improve operational efficiency and may pinpoint areas requiring attention. Like vacuum pumps not maintained properly, poor lighting, or improperly sized ventilation fans and other factors that can influence cow comfort, behavior and ultimately milk production. So, while these costs don’t directly show up as line items on the utility bill, sooner or later they will creep in and shrink your margins.
